They have about stopped all boating on the St. Johns river here in FL. It's either "NO WAKE", "MINIMUM WAKE" or 25MPH.
Always wanted to know what "MINIMUM WAKE" is????? I was stopped on the Indian River, when I had my Cigarette, for violating the Minimum Wake. When I questioned the offiecer, all he said was that the bow had to be down in the water and if I asked anymore questions the fine was going to double and he would confiscate my boat. I shut up and paid the fine. It was easier and didn't ruin my day, too much.
Last month I was stopped on St. Johns in 1949 Chris Craft. Top speed 37 mph or so. They said I was doing 30 mph. No ticket, just a warning. I wasn't wot. Just turning 2500 rpm. Approx. 25 MPH. Can't win.
