Default Pinstripe is not coming off...

The pinstripe is 23 years old... comes off but the adhesive seems like its burned itself to to the gelcoat... goo gone, paint thinner is not doing it... used a heat gun for the top layer too... whats next? how do i get this off? Should i try compounding it off? I do need to do a full detail on the boat. But this stuff wont come off!!

There's also 3M adhesive remover. Most "Good Quality" Pin stripe tapes used denatured alcohol in the adhesive, when applied it etched it's self into to Gel or paint. Good Luck

We removed some vinyl graphics from our old boat, as they were showing age. The gel underneath was discolored and/or etched. We wet sanded, but you could still see the ghosting of the old graphics. I wasn't pleased with the result, but it looked better than the old graphics.

plus one on that. Those Astro erasers are one of those things i would gladly pay two, three times what they ask. Works great!

be careful they create a lot of heat and can burn the gel
