I have the 6.0 in my 2004 Chevy Crew Cab, I put a Magnusson Belt Driven SuperCharger on it. I "WAS" The Biggest Fan of the Old Gen l Small Blocks & Big Blocks. After Messing with these LS Based Motors " I Am Sold" Inch for Inch they will Whip their Older Siblings. Even before the Supercharger it was a Hoss of a smallblock, But pack that B!tch full of air and it comes to Life I would pick the 6.0 over the 8.1, Fuel economy should be much better.
