i know a few gringos that opened restaurants that are doing pretty well, with a specialized skill set like yours you might do ok... medellin, bogota, cartagena, have decent sized international airports..

there is tons of foreign investment coming as farc is in a very very weakened state now and many areas to unsafe to enter before are being explored for gas, oil, gold, and precious gems. mines are booming business here, i know a few guys in the geologist trades that are making mad coin, and some of the guys running these mobile drilling rigs for core sampling are making big coin too....
