Check out an older Baja 290 Motoryacht. The 34 footer does about 50 so I imagine the 29 will move also.

Other than that, I vote for the Formulas. My 330SS with 496 Mags will hit 60, if I run it a bit.

I know of a Chris Craft 32' with small blocks & Volvo duo props that will do approx. 55 mph with all the niceties. I think the model is a crown. It has been for sale for a couple of yrs. Randy

Crossett,
I'm trying to cap it at 25k and 28 feet, although I'd prefer something in the 24-26 foot range. Thanks, Kevin.

Anytime.

And for a few years we were boat-less and borrowed my sister-in-law's 2252. It is a nice boat.

Should be able to find a 280SS that meets those parameters. Will you be trailering this boat? Keep in mind, the 280 is over 9' wide. I've trailered around a 330SS at 10' 2", but it's something to think about.

Could always go with a 271. Will get you speed, ride, and occasional overnight amenities in an easy to store / trailer package.
