1+ on the Palmer Johnson! About 10 years ago I was stationed in Sturgeon Bay for three years. And bought my first house there, It was about 1/4 mile down the street from the factory.

Not hijack thread maybe we should have a best sounding boat and for me that is sorcerer
I can like a lot of different boats, it just depends on how they are done.
However, sound is something that just sticks out to me and there are two boats as such that I will never forget:
1) 38 Top Gun which was OldSchool's and now Kreed's; but back before Craig owned it. It had 1200s and passed us at full tilt on a narrow section of the James River, right next to an industrial plant. The sound and echo is something that is etched permanently into my brain.
2) 38 Top Gun which used to belong to Kevin Schulte. We were at Phil's place; and Phil fired the boat up on the trailer under the awning. The 750 Zul tunnel rams sounded like a NASCAR fleet going through a long aluminum tunnel. On the sea-trial, Kevin was up front with Phil, and I was in the back with his now wife, Kelly. The sound that those motors made with Phil running the ever living snot out of that boat was another brain etching moment.

Old school Formula 402...just to add another to the list. When one of these 1st appeared at the LOTO, all black with a touch of gold, it was like something from another planet. Still a great looking shape. http://www.boatingbroadcast.com/ads/CharlesBlickle_02/

great thread.
The early mistresses with the perfect flat deck and low screen
The 38KV of course with the black deflector the original 38 Flat DECK CIG.
the original cc stinger 39 with timber capping windscreen
and the outrageousness of the 402 SR-1 will never be matched again especially with its interior...
dont make em like that anymore..... resin buckets low n slow and very shameless.
Who cares if you cant get across the lake at mach 10 when you built like a tank... the caddy ride is unquestionable and when a bit of chop comes up well....
cant live in the past I guess. If i had to choose a boat today I think the donzi's are pretty nice and of course the 42x is cool.
the 50 marauder a good looking boat but id be a bit embarassed to own one... look a bit silly??
