Your RB28 do it on pump gas with No turbo or blower?
How tight do you twist it?
Your entitled to your opinion, but, 1500HP on pump gas, naturally aspirated is pretty impressive in my opinion

RB28 appears to be turbo charged, so, comparing "apples to apples"
Mike Moran's 670 inch turbo motor made over 4000HP, so, 2600HP from 557 inches with a Turbo isn't unreasonable.

just to fuel the fire of every honda fanboy that has ever graced the web I present the incredible s2000 engine lol (I hate hondas)
What it did do was make 240hp (well 237-247hp depending on setup) on a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, so figure 120hp per liter
880 cubic inches is just a hair over 14.4L of displacement... so if it actually matched the efficiency of the honda power plant the engine should be making over 1700hp :-P
It just goes to show that there really is no replacement for displacement though lol

Those valve covers are about 2 feet wide, hard to get perspective from looking at a pic, but, the top plate where the throttle bodies sit is about the size of a coffee table and I could BARELY get both my hands to wrap around the intake runners, the thing is just plain MASSIVE!
Wonder what kind of power it would make with a whipple charger and an inter cooler? STILL running pump gas, plus the sound of that thing AND a couple of Whipples screaming across the water!!
BOING!!! Indeed!!!!
