In his defense, he may have been looking for better traction for a quick holeshot. You get zero prop slip on fiberglass and wood!

Dip sh!t.

Im the last ine to bash just off of a video with out further info because ive seen enough videos with the back story to know what you see is usually far from the whole story. Accidents happen and poor decisions can and do get made but it's the fact that he just looks back and keeps on trucking that strikes me as crappy. He should have immediately turned back to confirm no one was injured.

With that said, you don't know if there was some type of (mechanical) issue just prior to the collision that caused the police boat to slam into the searay or just human error. But like I said, the cop basically hit and ran. I believe that's still a crime in DC

I wish there was more video from the beginning. Still cant figure out what they was doing in the first place. They had a lot more time to turn before they did. It's obvious they were going straight at the boat they hit with lights going and then made the turn. The thing that comes to mind is a jetskier acting stupid. They then keep going coming damn close to a tour boat at high speed.
Would love to be a fly on the wall at the hearing.

He must of thought he was the Hoff about to rescue CJ. Did anybody see the video where the cop who was driving the boat is later yelling at the owner to relax.

"RELAX, it's a boat. They are supposed to be in the water!" ROFL

Maybe the WP officer is the grandson of Barney Fife
