Think RF3 knows what he's doing look at the bottom changes he's been doing to the MTIs and other boats. He's getting great numbers out of them. He also is out running the boats just like his father did. Best of luck it will be a good product.

So... after the dust starts to settle, the original Fountain Factory is proudly advertising their 30' 525ci single engine Race Boat. And RFM is planning a carbon fiber 40 footer with 1350hp twins. Any guesses on which company will get the better press?

Gotta hand it to Reggie. Winners become winners for a good reason. They never give up.

It is pretty funny when it's viewed like this.

A great example of this theory can be found here https://www.hyundaiusa.com/equus/, The average buyer of a 60k car would not be found dead in a Hyundai! I am sure it is a great car, and prob a best value in that market place.....but it fails as a status symbol.

I don't want to be bashed by the checkmate crowd, I have owned a checkmate and they make a great boat for their place in the market. I am also not in the market for a new 400-800k boat, but if I were, there are a few names it wouldn't have on the side.
Tundras, on the other hand are straight up Baller Status symbos....

You guys amaze me. A state of the art new design comes out from a legendary family, and all you can talk about is an oddball Checkmate that nobody wants, Hyundai's, Tundra's, and RFIII's physique? RFIII has been behind the scenes in racing his whole life, and is doing some amazing things with boats and engines. He's not riding anyone's coat tails, he's producing results. Now get back to the rodeo all you keyboard cowboys, because you obviously have nothing better to do and it's not even winter yet. Or better yet, drop your coin, your time, and your expertise on a new design and we'll let you know what we think about it.

I have to guess RF Marine is fishing for customer money to pay for the design and/or prototype.
