The latest 420 Monte Carlo from Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats is a fast one. The luxurious 42-footer hit 100 mph with twin Mercury Racing 700-hp engines.

the newer boats with lighter layups are putting up some big speed numbers, but i would rather have a heavier layup for big water at the expense of a little top speed. if you watch the later light layup apache 41 race boat, it doesnt seem to like big water nearly as much as the heavier old school layup apaches... just my .02 pesos

I never thought of a Nortech as a light layup.......
