I guess Ellison isn't used to losing

Who will be the first to add some of those stab foils to their offshore boat ?

I was in San Diego last weekend and went out on the Stars and Stripes in the bay for three hours and I am not a sail boat guy but that boat is impressive and amazing how little wind can move the boat and these cats are just over the top with the speed they are getting. The captain told me the new cats can triple the wind speed in the right conditions.
I will still keep my throttles but would jump at the chance to go out on it again.
78 feet long 115 foot mast and a 40000 pound counterweight on the bottom of a 13 foot skeg.
If you are ever down there it is worth the 100$ to go out on it as you can help raise the sails, grind and drive. Its a bit odd as it is quiet and you never run level but it's not a power boat.

43 seconds! . . . talk about a b!tch slap . . .damn! . . . 43 seconds in the old twelve meters was one thing but in these boats its like getting lapped . . .several times

Hopefully Ellison will hold the next round here again and use the same AC72 Cat's again... Impressive to think when you are cruising at 50 mph they could be right next to you. Until you go under a bridge at least..

I was sailing my own boat by age seven and had my first runabout by age 11. I love powerboats, however I would give a more to ride on one of those boats than any powerboat I have experienced.

I say that because these modern racing sailboats exceed the dream sailboat I had in my head when I was 7, un freaking believable !!!!
