More mindless bureaucracy from the left that will change absolutely nothing. All this will accomplish is to thicken the bureaucracy in Albany, create lots of no work jobs, and of course grab money from the populace. I have taken the course and it is absolutely worthless. As a boater for decades, I can say that nothing in this course will make you a better, safer boater. Very today thinking, endless waste of time, money, resources for absolutely no purpose or gain. Modern Liberalism in perfect form. Worthless.

I fell sorry for those who are gulliable enough to believe more rules, regualtions, and govt programs(such as this) are the answer to a better society. Nothing could be further from historical truth. Ignorance is the only winner in todays way of thinking.

Driver's licenses sure do keep people following the rules. So of course boaters with safe boating courses will as well.
I know I can drive safely down the road and never have to be in an accident with all the educated drivers out there.

If I am reading this correctly, and I think I am, it is for operators 18 and under.

Tim,

I'm pretty sure your badge will suffice.

Just like the jet ski legislation, it starts out with just the younger boaters. Over time though, everybody will have to pass the course.

Big Funking deal...Morons will possibly be educated safety morons now? I am almost sure that if someone would pick up that states boater handbook it would cover everything in that class. It would not be a HiPo Tres Martin top secret go fast class...which I for one would love to take but am not going to bust that kind of coin on it.
