Last two pics till I get back to FL: The best part of the day was running south on the Gulf and across Florida Bay and into the Keys. After that it was quite overcast but no rain.

I am busy getting ready for our FMO season opener tomorrow so have limited time at the moment. Just wanted to say that we had an awesome trip even considering the rough water crossing from Bimini to Ft Lauderdale yesterday. The first pic is leaving the harbor at Bimini and the second pic is my running the coastline southbound between Ft Lauderdale and Miami. Unfortunately I have no pics of the crossing as our cameras and cell phones were getting soaked and had to stow away. I said to my buddy Fred that no one would believe the sea height without pics. At times when we were both riding the bottom of troughs we could not see each other with the wave crest between us. Then out we would pop. LOL NOAA said 3 to 5 with some 6's. I say 6 to 8 with some 10's without exageration. An offshore boater would never exagerate like fishermen ! LOL We crossed eastbound in 1.25 hrs Wednesday and it took us 2.5 hrs to return Yhursday. I will post more pics when I get some time. After clearing Customs ( I always need to go into the office being CAN ) I left FLL at 3:20 PM, and was back on Marco by 8:20 PM. 5 hrs for that trip is great with the last bit being run in the dark. The Renegade ran great and am very proud of how it handled that big water. It has passed the test and has my seal of approval. LOL Now to get ready for tommow.

Last time I was in seas like that in my 28 I spent most of my time surfing down the waves on my way in, not an experience I care to repeat even though the boat handled it well enough.

This was a bit like that with winds out of the NNE we had a quartering sea. If we were going straight into it would have been impossible so we just took our time and kept going.
