Wow, look at this weeks NOAA Marine forecast for the Atlantic between Miami and Bimini ! I just moved my flight ahead to Tuesday so I can head across for Wednesday / Thursday in the Renegade. If anyone wants to tag along you are welcome to do so. Just make sure your boat is mechanically sound and fit for the trip. I would like to stay till Friday but need to get back to Marco for final preps for our FMO season opener on Saturday. Just might stay at the Big Game Club this time as I’ve been to Bimini Bay Resort before and don’t feel like doing a lot of walking.

Bob,

Cool trip and with weather like that it should be an easy over and back! Bimini Sands is nice also (South Bimini), stayed there in June, it is a short boat ride to North Bimini if you want to do something over there but much more tranquil in my opinion. http://www.biminisands.com/

They have a great restaurant on the southern point of South Bimini (Bimini Twist/Island Sushi) and you can reach it by golf cart or boat (though boat at night is solely for the brave/skilled/non impaired!)

Also note the "new casino" at Bimini Bay (now Resorts International) is marginal at best (I was there the first week it opened so maybe it has gotten better). The place was "lifeless" and watching the Bahamian dealers try to move stacks of chips across the table always seemed to end in an avalanche! The food at the casino restaurant was ridiculously overpriced and terrible (Mahi was awful) and due to the gratuity being included their is very little motivation from the staff.

I'm really starting to dislike you

Wish I was close enough to make the trip, I would be in for sure if I lived closer. Don't forget your passports.

In any case life is not so bad here. We just got our first cool front in Houston and it's glorious today..

Sometimes I really wish I owned a trailer, sounds like fun, be safe and have a good time, weather looks perfect to break in the CC.

CC is 32ft. Loving that boat. It's a nice change but will never give up the go fasts.

Experienced deck hand and diver for hire . Will work extremely hard and only a seat on your boat is required for pay . I excel at capturing and grilling fresh seafood to your taste .

Thanks for that, JS. Good info and I will try and check it out if time allows. Want to try something other than BB Resort especially after reading some of the reviews.
