Default MSD Ignition controller

Anyone using the non marine version of this in there boat? I have heard it holds just as well, and its less then half the cost. What do you guys think, is it worth it to save the money and get the car version which is red and can be had for around $180, or get the marine version which is blue and is $380?

THE BLUE 6m is around 240 bux. It nalso has a rev limiter set up where the 6A does not. THere was one of each in my boat but I changed it out. They work, but the blue is specifically marine and sealed.

I would get the Marine Unit. Compare apples to apples(built in rev limiter) and the marine is about $82 more

$338 for the 6m-2L marine and $256 for automotive

Nice I decided already the marine one is the way to go, and that price of $340 that includes shipping is a much better price. Would like to find where the other poster saw for $240.

If you want to have a trouble free life with your msd setup, install one of these in the main power line to the msd box. should be mandatory in my opinion.
