I had read before that the original designer of hydro-streams did it so people could tell from across the lake what kind of boat it was.

Maybe Reggie JR will give us the real reason, either way I like the look, some do some don't.

But I also like hydro-streams.

Man Timmy, you are quickly becoming the biggest fountain hater on this site. I would have thought blowing by you like you were anchored a few times this summer would have changed your tune about Fountain.......guess it made it worse

I have a heard so many stories about the beak.....I love the fact that it is an enigma at this point.

My favorite story: When designing the first fountain from the Excalibur mold the new top deck was built in a different location. When they went to mate the bottom to the top, the top was too long so the frenched in the front and the beak was born. Comical.

I know on Streams and Allys from the 70s they did that to use a 16ft hull into a 18ft Boat, Ally does it today, simply measure one of his 20.2 long boats, their really 18.6 long...

All I know is that it makes the Fountain stand out among all other boats. From hundreds of yards away you can always tell it's a Fountain.

I think Reggie just put it there so all his swingers would have something to suck on when he's not around.
