This is for Ohio, not sure if Texas is the same or not. Just went thru truck driving school about a month ago for a non-trucking job that I have to have a Class A with air brakes for.
The reduced BAC (.04) is only if you are driving a commercial vehicle. If you are in your personal vehicle it is still .08. But no alcohol at all within a commercial vehicle cab.
This is straight from a seasoned Ohio Highway Patrolman, who came in an spoke to give us an idea on what they actually look for when they do their pullovers and inspections.

Thanks for the info..... I don't drink as much as I used to so, I gave up going to those meetings
