BLIND DRIVER BREAKS WATER SPEED RECORD IN TORBAY
Mike Newman now holds both land and water speed records when he hit 95.18mph in Silverline on Friday

Not a household name yet but 52 year old father of two Mike Newman set a unique world water speed this week when he stormed across Torbay behind the wheel of Drew Langdon's Buzzi designed 'Silverline' setting a new record for blind people.

Naturally he had Langdon alongside giving instructions.

Mike's achievements don't end there as he also holds the world land speed record after driving a Porsche at 186mph.

Mike Newman is the first person since Donald Campbell to hold both the world water and land speed records at the same time
