My thoughts exactly

I would check into Springfield airport. Only about 40-50 miles away, but may cost a bit more to get into. Also, what about Jefferson City?

fly into Kc and you will be closer
but the road from Kc to Loto SUCKS
I am actually thinking that if i come down about driving to St.Louis then over :(
