He just left Key west late this morning I saw him at the dock cleaning out his sea strainers.

Don't know anymore then that

Hopefully he got the lids on the strainers nice and tight.... That would really suck if that turned out to be the problem, because it looks like a "Beaching in lieu of Sinking" event to me.... IMHO.

The initial story is the escape hatch blew off and the boat was filling with water so he beached it

Whoops... that will put a dent in the ole customer satisfaction scale.... Flood the cockpit with saltwater, might as well total it.
