Default Help with january vacation destination

Ok, I need help with our vacation for next month. I know a lot of you guys travel a lot. I need help with finding next destination. We have been to cancan 3x because it's cheap, key west, Aruba 4x because we love it, Nassau, Freeport. We are looking at Dominican, Puerto Rico, cabo. St Martin???

We are NOT beach bums we don't wanna lay on the beach for 7 days! We love to sight see by jeep, boat, tours, motorcycles. Would prefer some night life and possibly casino.

Would love to rent a boat, go fishing, do cool tours we haven't done before.

Would like to spend around 4-7k for 7 days. We live in ohio.

What do u recommend and why? What company package have you had good to great results with? Would like to schedule something this week.

Thanks for the help.

I went to St. Martin several years ago and really enjoyed it. There is a variety of things to do there. One of the things I enjoyed was renting a jeep and driving all over the island...just taking a road map a picking out where i wanted to go and just go!!. I drove to the highest point I could drive ...then got out and walked up a long trail to the mountain top that was almost 6000 ft if I recall. You could see the vegetation change from tropical to sub - tropical to almost temperate the closer I got to the top. i was lucky to have picked a clear day and I have to say...it was one of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. You can see all the way around the island and looking down at the sapphire blue water of the Caribbean was outstanding!!

The island is divided into two half's...french and Dutch. You see quickly that the Dutch keep up with their colonies...everything is clean and neat sort of like Holland is. The French side by comparison was a sewer. Both are interesting in their own way however.

Get Fromer's Guide and check it out. The dining and shopping is great...there is great night life with clubs and casinos as well as beaches, snorkeling,SCUBA and Fishing in the Day Time. Go to the airport and watch the idiots standing behind the Jet Wash get blown away by the blast.

Check it out...you might like it.

Skipped Key West races this year and went to Cabo with a big group of friends. Did some offshore fishing, hiking, dune buggys down the pacific coast and through the desert, partied at cabo wabo. Nice change of pace and relatively inexpensive. Back to Key west next year.

PR, stay at the El San Juan in town, it's the best most fun hotel on the island, you'll love it, it has several bars and a casino.

Do a cruise out of San Juan to the virgin islands. Best bang for the buck!!! I'm leaving Jan 5th for 7 days. 4th cruise ive been on. And you see many different places not stuck on a resort in some toilet country your afraid to walk around in because they are in the middle of some drug war. Check out carnivals website they really do a nice job
