Lowering the tab increases tunnel pressure and lift by not allowing the air to excape out the back. The difference can be dramatic.

The only cat to ever blow over backwards while going in a straight line was a 43' Skater at 140mph. They put the tab down rather than up. The indicator was backwards. They put the tab down too far at full tilt and packed the air so hard that she blew over backwards.

These tabs should only move a few inches. Nothing too much. When they are set properly, they should increase stern lift.

dear Ron-p and Steve-1
I am running a small cat (28) with quite heavy engines at the back.
I think I need an extra lift?!?

*by the way Turkey has received its first 40 Skater ! I havent seen the boat but they say it was tested before delivery and top speed was around 150's

Cat Can Do at the kilo runs in North Carolina. Saw it at the shop here in Michigan the next week. What a mess.
