Hammerman, welcome to the board

Looks like a new mystery member. Are you familiar with my situation? Are you experiencing problems like a few others on this board? Maybe you had work done somewhere and having engine failure problems and all your phone calls are not being returned. Seems this is common practiced these days.

Well, since you need to advise me to be careful I will run this by you for approval. My motors will be torn down this week to see if the work that was supposed to have been done was done. I will have my camera with me and post photos so we all can see. Depending on what we find I may end up buying 2 new longblocks and telling the 1st builder to come pick up the damaged blocks and give me a check for the new ones plus labor. That sounds fair, does it not? If this is not acceptable my attorney is ready to start legal preceedings.

What do you think?

Where is this post? You've got me curious now. Or did he delete it???

Pure Energy 08-11-2002 12:17 PM

It was deleted, along with another one.

Figures. Do we know who he was or not?? Work for one of the now less than reputable engine builders that used to post here??

I'm glad I chose who I did to help me with my motor. Turned out wonderful. No complaints. And I still talk to him all the time. Boat with him to (when his boat leaves the slip that is!!! LOL!!). And he's not as mean and cantancerous as he thinks he is!! Guess I'm lucky.

Yea, I know who he is. If he would learn to run his business properly we wouldn't have to go through this.

Hmmmm.....Engine builders need to be extremely mindful of a customer's engine(s) that the customer has invested THOUSANDS into and toss out the "ho-hum, just another engine to build today" type of attitude. Especially when the customer is excersizing his trust into the person(s) machining his parts and assembling his stuff.

sorry for confusing the hell out of this thread. I have deleted any post that I made. My intent is not to bad mouth anyone. I have been advised not to talk about this anymore. Please do me the courtesy and don't ask why. I will not reply.

Thanks
