On my 2nd Baja!! 25ol and then our 33ol complete with dance floor. Its big enough and will not need to upgrade until I buy house with boat dock, just need to add a/c so we can get kids to overnight comfortably!

I was there. In the morning, there were 8 footers out there, with a few bigger and some massive holes on the backsides. That boat was run very hard. A dealer at the time was driving the boat. I don't he worried much about the boat or after effects.

Sorry guys, my Baja 292 Islander has more cockpit space than either of you

I of course wanted something sporty with a cuddy and the wife demanded an open bow. It had to handle LOTO water but be easy enough to trailer to other lakes in different states. Looked at a lot of MCOBs from other brands and walking (more like crawling) through the cuddy to get to the front sucks! We ended up with another Baja and couldn't be happier with our decision. It's not the fastest at poker runs but having 8+ people on board all lounging stretched out makes up for it.

Owned three new Baja's over the years. They were great boats and sure could not beat the resale value! The 280 below, we bought new in 1990. It was a left over, paid 45k on the trailer. We kept it up in Maine (long before we moved) on Sebago. Had it 12 seasons,1000 hrs, only one motor (@ 666 hrs! -Great story..) and sold it for 30k. Not bad. The 220 was bought new for 25k, put 400 hrs on it and sold for 20k. They were cheap to run and own.

Wow think about that a newboat at 45k 28fter and twins! that barely buys a 20ft bayliner now days, this sport has driven the hourly wage guy right outta town and he will never be able to afford a comparable boat new, 28/30ft boats new are well north of 100k and there half the boat that 280 was
