Default Chicago Boat show

Is the Chicago boat show worth going to? Do they have any performance boats there? or is all fishing boats and cruisers?

They haven't had squat for performance boats for a few years now. But at least they started selling alternatives to that God awful Berghoff beer.

Usually the best part of the Chicago boat show is the RV'S, the boats suck!

I've been the last few years and I'm going again this year. Not much of a performance boat showing but I enjoy checking out all boats. It's better than sitting at home dreaming of boating and warm temperatures.

I find it strange that 2 of the largest performance boat dealers in the country are in chicago yet there is not a single performance boat at the boat show!

Since you live in Michigan, I recommend staying home. Unless you want to make a weekend out of it and enjoy the city/ restaurants and the nightlife.

Because the cost for a spot at the show is through the roof.....

I bet each dealer pays between 10k-40k to be at the show.... Need to sell a lot of boats to make that up
