Highs- Motor was torn down, rebuilt with big power and installed. Stereo was installed. Deck was wetsanded and buffed. LED cockpit lights were installed. Sewn entire cabin vinyl myself. Bilge painted. Stayed sober 9 months while doing all the above mentioned.
Lows- only took out boat once in late fall. Missed all summer on the boat from fixing and lack of funds. Staying sober for 9 months while doing all the above mentioned.

Staying sober while doing all that is impressive! If you need a hand, PM me. I'm from 'Cuse as well.

High: Getting to experience my first summer living "on the water"

Low: Jumping timing thanks to a sheared roll pin and ending my boating season a month early

Lows- are. I spent 15k on new motor and brand new custom interior for my boat didn get it finished till coast quard up in grand haven, then got it out in the water then a 53 carver thought I didn't need that boat any more. He smashed into it and broke a hole in it and smashed the other side.

Highs- that his insurance company paid out real well and I bought my new Powerquest and love it to death. And looking forword to tons of boating.

Lows-I know several people with loss of friends and family this year, I pass on my low comment! 2013 was a good year for me and my family.

These are so, so good. Jason Johnson told me about this thread.

This time of year, there's not a ton going in the performance boating world (hence our highs and lows series). So this kind of stuff is beyond entertaining.

Please keep it coming.
