New to this Forum!
Hello Everyone! Great message boaard.
Well, I'm a transplanted Canadian from Ottawa, living in North Texas. Been here for 3 years now. Sold everyting to make the move, including my 25' Senza. Got back "IN" this past January with a 1998 28' Nordic Heat closed bow. Really miss the 1000 Islands Poker Run, but the Texoma Run is a pretty good substitute!
I towed the boat from Dallas to Ottawa this summer (30 hrs) and spent 3 1/2 weeks boating in the Thousand Islands (Brockville), Ottawa River and Rideau Lakes. Sure miss the clean, clear, blue water. I have more hrs towing than boating! Swore I would never do it again. It's been 3 weeks since I returned and now I'm planning next years migration North.
We can be found at Lake Lewisville most weekends, boat is named "Miss" Understood. We have been to Lake Texoma twice and would like to make a trip to Possum Kingdom before the summer is finished.
If you see us stop and say hello.

DallasHeat,
Welcome aboard! I'm originally from Potsdam NY and I grew up on the Raquette, St. Lawerence (sp?) rivers and Lake Ontario. The St. Lawerence is a beauiful river, BUT DAMN is it COLD! Try Possum Kingdom, I too have boated there and it's one of the nicest, (Warm) bodies of water I've boated in. Heck, I drug my boat from Merritt Island Fl. to PK about 8 years ago, don't know if I would do it again, but....

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Is there a North Texas chapter of OSO?
Any members planning to be on Lake Lewisville this coming weekend?

MNFastBoat,
I would love to, but the Texoma run is also that weekend and it's 8 hrs closer
I may make it up to LOTO later this year, maybe late Sept. I have a friend from Ottawa with a Slingshot that may meet us at LOTO.
Is there anything happening on LOTO in late Sept? or will we be the only one's on the water?
