Don Aronow
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the book "Speed Kills", about the life and times of Don Aronow? Amazon lists it as out of print. Thanks!

Speed Kills and Blue Thunder, while entertaining, are reportedly works of fiction...
Other books you might be interested in are:
Muscle Boats---great pics of Cigarette and Thunderboat Alley
Don Aronow--King of Thunderboat Row---written by Michael Aronow.
Also, I have the Guide to Hight Performance Powerboating, written by that chick from teh NY Times...it's oka, although I'm not yet finished with it...it's got some cool pics in it as well.

Arrrrghh... too slow. Out of stock.
...And I don't know that I would call Blue Thunder "fiction". More of a play by play account of the investigation by one reporter with his interpretations/opinions of what he found. I think many of the facts are accurate and the reader can draw their own conclusions.

While I know they are certainly not bestsellers, there is a reason those books are no longer in print...(this coming from someone VERY close to Don Aronow)
As usual Stinson is on the money...

Blue Thunder and Speed Kills
I have looked for both of these; Blue Thunder is considered a collectible and goes for $ 50 and up! Library is a good source to check out and see if it is worth owning. I found Speed Kills paperback for $3 at a small used shop!
I would buy The Michael Aronow book for $ 40 it has really great historicalpics= coffee table books for the husbands to set next to the wife'/ SO' s books!
