LOTO Condo or house or cabin
Looking for a two trips down this year.
First one will be Memorial weekend, most likely without the boat.
Wife has never been and it has been over 7 years for me.
Thinking of a short weekend Mem weekend, Arrive Sat leave Mon morning.
Anyone have suggestion for a place? Would prefer something close by car but yet on the water for scenery
Second trip wanting to arrive July 30th and depart August 4th.
This will be with the boat so a 28'+slip is a MUST.
Would like something that is accessible for trailer parking as we would need the truck for a few land excursions. Any with on-site boat launch and boat storage. I know lazy Days launch will NOT work for me Tried it before.
Would rather not have a high rise unit, my back is not the best for climbing stairs.
Thought about a cabin place, but not sure who has the best setup, Would like to know more about Cpt Rons? I know A/C is a must!! and prefer king bed
Seen one place on VRBO @ Indian Pointe? Wanted to ask what people know about their on-site boat launch?
Thanks

For Memorial, Lands End would be nice. Can catch all the action on the channel, & its easy drive wise in osage beach.
On the later trip, you might want to look into Silver Sands. i have never stayed there, but they have cabins, slips, ramp & parking

Ive stated at IP, but didnt use their boat launch. jms322 on the board owns a condo there, he probably knows more about it.

"close by car but on the water for scenery" close to what? Osage Beach?
Hard to get better scenery than Camden on the Lake. High rise with elevator.
Ledges or Huron Bay condos have lots of docks and a decent view depending on unit.
We have stayed at Park Place condos in the State Park. Close but winding drive into the heart of OB.
Nice docks, super easy ride to PC then just around the corner to all the Grand Glaze activity like Dog Days, Topsiders, Backwater Jacks.
Easy launch at Public Beach 2 and drive to condo.

try checking out Kapilana.net
Older complex means that it was not built on a hill designed for mountain goats. You are right on the water. Rental slips available. There are "hotel type" units up to private 3 bedroom condos. Great location by land and water. There is a lot onsite for trailers, but there is no ramp (just a couple of miles from PB2). Hit Neil up for a multi-weekend discount!
Wherever you stay you will have a great time!
