No thats not me. I have a 3/4T white Avalanche.
Our place is just west of the south park so we always use the south park.
If we are there my boat is anchored out front.
Maybe we'll see ya up there sometime:)

I need to get up to Higgens this year. I've been to Torch a few times but there are never too many single ladies there!

I have no idea where number 1 and 2 lakes are. Probably not even in the US. It is National Geographic that rates them.

Fountain27ho496,

Stay away from Houghton Lake! It's lost about a foot of water this year that it couldn't afford to lose. When it's up to par it only averages about 9' in depth.

Higgin's lake is beautiful and gets very deep a few hundred feet from shore. Oh yeah, don't try to cut between the south side of the island and the shore (rocks), go around the north side of the island.

I just came back from Northport, MI (Grand Traverse Bay) and it was just begging for some boats! It's about a 4 hour drive or so for you.

can go north or south. Thanks for the sand bar info I'll stay
clear. Bill, cant do any thing this weekend, the woodward
thing beckons. Will you be north next weekend? Let me know
we can hook up. I did torch and dropped in elk rapids, cruised
to power island and traverse bay in the advantage. Torch
looks like carribbean water. Bill I'll keep your cell with me

Wow this post has really got alot of good info in it. It makes me want to head up to higgins again. I better take my friend with the diesel f-250, I dont think my tahoe would like me very much if I pulled the boat that far. What's up for the dream cruise, we shouldget a new post going about who's going to it.

Lakes

Fountain, you gotta go to Lk Charlevois, it has access to Lk Michigan so you can run the "big water" in your boat. It's a blast up there and great shoreline to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Plus you can really get some air, you won't find it like that on Higgens (which is beautiful btw).

Nope, no big water on Higgens. But it sure is beautiful water! Looks just like Torch.
