Always enjoyed the quailty of my previous Formula's but never owned a fountain. Still want quality not just speed.

Help??
Had a good friend with a 2000 312 Formula with 454s and been in it many times in lake and offshore conditions. It was a beautiful boat with great fit and finish but a positively dreadful ride. Slam slam slam. Bam Bam BAM. We went offshore in it once and it got late on the way back and it slammed so hard in 3' sea that it finally coughed up the dashboard that literally bounced right off its mounting. We held it down with bungee cords the rest of the way. A 32 Fountain is in the slip across from me and it rides much better as it is better able to get on top of the water.

I own a 32 fountain,,I have no water leaks ,it does sit low in the water and that is what most people that own 32s like about the boat, the look...

so,how many 32s have you seen with water leaks?

I agree that is a GREAT deal. But, the word "better" is subjective.
