Your question may be answered better by someone that does NOT work at a GM store. let us know what your question is and we may be able to help. I have owned a dealership and am now in the wholesale side of the business now.

all the smoke came out of my genuine gm alternator. i want to get another can of oem gm spoke to recharge it... i hear a lot of places are selling the cheap cans of smoke from china, they just fill the cans with atmospheric smoke in the afternoon

Ok lol. I think you can take a pack of Marlboro reds and blow real hard while turning the alternator with your tongue. I hear it works real well
