I go away for a few days and it's always unbelievable what has gone on regarding members of the board.
It's really a great website with a wonderful community.

Thanks to all for the compliments.

I will try to answer all questions:

The bolster seats were originally made by Hot Pursuit in Florida before I had the boat shipped out West. I had all the upholstery redone when I was restoring the boat. I design homes and interiors and had a company who does my residential upholstery work do the boat. They are in San Rafael, California and do incredible work for me.

The paint was done in Lakeport, California by Specht's Body shop. Don Specht is a friend who has been painting and building hot rods for over 50 years. I didn't want something too contemporary for the style of the boat and he came up a scheme that worked really well, I thought.

The scoops are Harwood which I wanted faired into a new hatch. I am a fanatic about the lines of the boat and didn't want to just stick a pair of scoops and top of a hatch.
I also had the grills cast for the scoops and chrome plated so they matched the other grills that were on the boat .
There was also upholstery work fit into the hatch between the scoops.
Here are photos of the hatch before paint:

The the engines are rebuilt 350 Chevy's,with new Vortec heads and Competition cams. The cranks were nitrided. I have also replaced the carburetors to Mercury Racing 700cfm and have Keith Eikert Flame arrestors. The manifolds are Stainless Marine. Compression on the engines are right around 10:1
These engines are rated at 425hp. I run 92 octane with an additive "boost power" from CP Performance.
The boats top speed so far has been between 68-72mph, with the engines turning 5,800 rpm's.
