What happened to you guys after Maumee Bay?

I was talking to the owners of the 38 Powerquest that was docked next to you guys in the morning at Coastal, and they said you guys headed back to Port Clinton. I don't blame you for doing so. I was in the 32 Sunsation and at 35 mph... we were getting the schit kicked out of us. Those had to have been at least 5 foot rollers between the islands and the mainland. The last two legs, however, were much better. I was able to hug the shore line by Cedar Point all the way down to Saw Mill Creek, I tried to run with one of the 38 Hustler's (Purple One) but he either didn't want to run... or couldn't catch up to me :D . I also got my but kicked by the 36 Super Boat. Not as bad as I was expecting though. Must not have been leaning into it too heavily. The final leg into Port Clinton was the best. Waves were still at least an honest 3 feet or so, but we were heading straight into them. I played with a 353 Formula on the way back in. A good time was had by all.

I'll hopefully have some pictures to post in the next few days. I left the camera in the boat (doh!) along with my sun glasses.

We stopped to assist the people in the 30 ft Hustler (yellow, blue and white)....he was following me.....way back....:).......but with me going the wrong way............by the time we talked him into limping back on one engine and drive.........I didn't know where int he hell I was........we putted around until the waves where rollin gover the bow and said screw it.....went back the Port Clinton and waited for you all to come back. First time in the area.

If you are talking about the green and white cat (Superboat) ....that was a 32 ft model "John Coen" never made a 36 ft cat. I looked at that one 2 1/2 years ago.

I guess it did look a little small for a 36'. Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry to hear about your (mis)adventure. You didn't miss too much. The lake was just nasty, beat the hell out of us. I had to attack my cabin on Sunday with a power drill and phillips attachment.

I also lost a motor between Kelly's and Sandusky. I was VERY glad to find an ignition wire dangling behind the dash that fell off the ignition switch. Nothing drops the heart quicker than looking at the gauges and seeing one of the tach's reading zero.

P.S. I've got about a dozen pictures or so, will hopefully post them before the end of the day.
