Default New drive installation IMCO SCX

Hey all I am starting a new drive project and thought I would start a thread about it. I know its not winter but where I live we are just seeing the first sign of spring and thought its not too late to have some interest in my project. The boat is at American Custom marine out side of Port Huron MI and they are doing the installation. I have a 1998 37 Outerlimits thats powered w a pair of 600 cu in NA motors. They were built in 2012 by Goodwin competition in WI. If you cant put your finger on that co well he had the 1800 hp motors at this years Miami boat show and generated some good interest.

One question that I am sure will come up is why didn't I just bolt them on. My answer is I am sure I could have done that but its more about what I dont know that concerns me. As I dropped the boat off last saturday it took the main mechanic, Kenny, about 10 seconds to find a couple of small problems that I would have overlooked (because I am not an expert boat mechanic).

Very nice Pete! The drive upgrade was the one thing left that boat needed... it will be a relieve not having to worry about those drives going forward.

Congrats!

What problems did they find that you overlooked? Gimble rings worn out and need replacement? You'll like the IMCO's, great product. I see the new helmets in the boxes with the drives, make sure you guys put the larger drive fluid reservoir in. Keep the pics coming.
