Seeing the blue painter's tape (aka chip protection) reminds me of my buddy in his new Shelby GT500, had tape all over that car to keep it perfect after a track day. He shows up and there is a fleet of high end cars including a Veyron without a single piece of tape on the cars out pounding laps all day long......he never did that again!

OP, have fun and sounds like you have the perfect weapon for the job!

At those speeds the tires become the biggest consideration.

Yup, tires are big deal, especially given it will be 100 degrees this weekend..... I have new Pilot Sports on the car so cannot find a much better rated or performing tire.....I am driving the car to and from, 1000 miles round trip so will be a fun car weekend.

We just put Michelin Pilot sport cups on the viper, great tire except in the rain, (Which doesn't matter, the snake has never seen the rain, snow, only time the top gets put up is when I wash her).
Good luck and have fun.

His X50 has been warmed over a bit, but I don't know to what extent. It was a Phoenix-area shop that did the work.

Do you know if the Big Red Camaro is gonna be there? Seems like I heard on fb that it was.
