Default Crank Mount Raw Water Pump 500EFI

My 500s have from mount crank sea water pumps and the bearing is gone on one of them. I have pulled the impeller out and removed the side brakett but can't seem to figure out how to remove the pump housing from the front of the motor. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

There are 3-4 bolts around the center shaft holding it onto the crankshaft/dampner. That side bracket just stops the housing from spinning. The 3 or 4 bolts behind the brass housing hold it to the crank and spin the impeller.

Brian, does the bearing come from the side closest to the engine then? I thought that maybe the housing would slide off leaving everything else still attached to dampner.

There is a c clip on the back of the unit. The whole thing needs to come off to access it. I've never replaced the bearing in one so I can't be of much help with the dismantling of the pump, but I noticed the c clip looking at it while it was off the engine.

pulled off pump it is a Sherwood model ra057026
like this one http://bpi.ebasicpower.com/p/SHEP105
brass side is flush with what looks like the shaft pressed into it. the impeller side doesn't have any circlip. These went together at the factory, there must be a way to take apart. $300 for a new one and all it needs is a $10 bearing. Frustrating

Mine is similar to that but the pump body is brass and has more bolts holding the cover on. Not quite the same.

Mine is the jabsco version. Same as this one but more screws holding the cover on. Sorry I can't be of more help.

got it apart. bearings pressed onto shaft. From impeller side there is a seal on the shaft that appears to come out from impeller side then a circlip on the shaft. Then there are two 6203 bearings that come out from the motor side. I was able to get the circlip out of the shaft grove and then was able to press whole shaft out through motor side and then pushed both bearings out. Not the right way to do it but it worked.
