I've got the Gaffrig 1100's and they work good at idle I never leave them on at running speed.
And they have that classic offshore look. See Timucin picture above. |

You won't regret it. The Teagues are great, only prob is drilling 2 4.5 inch holes in your boat. YIKES! I think i measured that one 20 times before i finally layed the hole saw to fiberglass.. They make such a difference, most people think I have silent choice.:p

Holes already there had thru hulls for two years now, just tired of the whinning:D

You'll be drilling. The normal size hole for a thru hull is 4" the Teague tips are 4 1/2". You'll need to put a 4" hole saw into a 4 1/2" hole saw as a guide to drill them. Teague actually gave me that idea. You can't run much over 3000 with this tips, unless he has changed them in the last few years. I got mine when I with my teague motors and they told me nothing more than idle with them closed. Maybe just my application but you will want to check with them. I also run my exhaust almost dry, just enough water flowing trough the tips so I don't burn the transom.
You'll love the tips. |
