Default Thanx buddy!

I pull up to a restaurant dock and try to tie off when I get a few guys asking the usual 100 question (thats is getting real old btw(no it doesn`t have a 454) and one fella unties my rope and tries to pull me back so my bumper is even with the pole.. well the boat is still tied in the rear and it hits the a metal beam .How do you not kill a guy like this??

Had a similar thing happen in the spring. Wife and I pull up to restaurant on windy day, with current in the river. A couple of guys come down to help. My wife throws them ropes but says "don't pull them, he will dock with engines" (she is trained well). So I get close and shut it down, guy on the back rope pulls swim platform under dock. I saw it coming and jumped off but he pulled through me pushing the boat against him. I still thanked him, even though the metal dock tore through the clear and paint on the port side rear :/

My wife has instructions NOT to give lines to anyone we do not know. It amazes me how many of them actually get pissed at her.

I'm the same way, if you can't properly dock the boat, don't! My wife knows the same set of rules! No lines thrown and I will bring it in! If people go for my lines I flip out worse than if they start "throwing lines" at my wife if you get what I'm saying!

God protects fools, drunks, and children....

That bites. Stuff like that changes the tone for an entire evening. (Or three).
