Default Stollen Parts, be on the lookout!

My 2000 DCB Mach 26 was stolen from Dave’s Custom Boats around 9pm on 8/22/02 The boat was spotted headed west on the 8 freeway and being towed by late model black or burgandy Chevy/GMC Extra Cab Truck. The same truck was spotted on the 15 freeway on 8/23/02 around 6pm with my TCM Quad rotor motor in the bed. The boat was recovered 8/23/02 at about 10pm in the Lake Elsinore/Perris/Temecula area, completely stripped. I want desperately to find these guys and bring them to justice. If you see any of the following boat parts coming through your shop please contact me. A $1,000 reward is offered for tips leading to thier arrest and conviction. Note: it is suspected the same guys have stolen (2) Teague 1000 motors out of a 36’ eliminator Daytona the week before. A $ 10,000 reward is offered in that case. a possible $11,000 reward here.

Thank you in advance,

DAMN, these guys are pretty damn good, seems like they could make money the honest way. That is a whole lot of parts in a day. Good luck finding them, maybe they'll be handy fixing the prison tractors

That sucks!!!

Glad your "hull" was found. Hopefully it wasn't damaged and she can be rebuilt.
Was the trailer there too?

We'll keep a lookout.

Hope you had ins. What about Dave's custom boats, do they have ins.?

Now you know how us Harley owners feel only the parts aren't identifiable as your stuff. Good LUCK. How did they get in to get the boat. I would interagate everyone that works there or has recently worked there. It's usally someone that knows when and how to get in there. Seems like you have some good clues to work with. Don't be afraid to offer money to someone for info. It's funny how fast these scumbags will sell someone out for a little money. The pissed off girlfreind seems to always have the most to say, even for free!! This is how most "good police work" is settled. The scary part is if you FIND who did, you will not be happy with what the judicial system will do to them. I am a firm beleiver if you want something done RIGHT you have to do it yourself. I still bet someone at Dave's knows more than they are saying. It's funny how when stuff like this happens it's a smaller world than you think. Most of these moroons are too dumb to keep their mouths shut and brag to someone about it. I am sure you know or know someone that hangs out with the bad guys. Ask them to ask around. Keep an eye on e-bay some of these guys are REAL dumb, thats why they call it DOPE!

A while back (seems like before your mentioned date of loss) I saw a motor on ebay that sounds just like yours. The description was okay but not complete, as some of the stuff said did not jive exactly with the motor...

Like I said, though, it was more than a couple of weeks ago.

The boat was found with the trailer, but of course the 4 nice, low profile tires had been taken and replaced with crap tires and 1-2 lug nuts each...

I am very sorry to hear about this misfortune Charley. I have to say your are dealing with this very well.. If it was me I would still be stuck in the fetal postion balling my eyes out.. It is really deprssing that people would do this.. I see most of the thefts our out west.. once people reliaze how much money people have tied up into their boats I am afraid theft if going to be big problem all over the US.. i guess these people just don't realize the work and pride we put into these boats. Your boat is a very impressive rig and again I am sorry to hear about it..
