Default 272 292 302 311?

Hi Guys I'm new here. I boat on Georgian Bay Lake Huron. Im a muscle car kind of guy so I figure Id take a shot at a muscle boat again. Right now I have a mint 89 Searay 260 OV, nice boat but no power. I have always been drawn to a Formula especially 272 up to a 311.Im on a budget. A 272 with a nice pair of small blocks would work. Did they put Bravo drives on sb? I would go with bb on a 292 and up because of the space. Whats the differences between these 4 models. I love the classic flat decks.

Jump over to the Formula forum i just posted a link to a nice find, they are all great boats, 272's unless altered have BBC/bravo combo's, small blocks came with alpha's, 292 buys u a bit of engine room, and a enclosed head big enough for a child, 311 gets u alotta engine room, and a more functional enclosed head, not really much difference in the models otherwise, even the speeds are all just about identical, if u were willing to wait and search a 272 with mags gets u that little extra, or a 292 with 502's is a nice setup, the 292 and 311 are better balanced, they are all great though, as usual check for stringers and bulk heads, like any other older boat,

I just bought a 89 311 re powered with a pair of 502 EFI's and bravo's. Its a nice boat just dirty unused sitting in the water. When Im done cleaning and servicing this boat, it will be mint again. Just as I got it home and layed up, we got snow. It was a 600 kilometer's away in Canada. The previous owner said it was running about 60mph. The bottom had algae grow on it. This boat will never see that again.
