Default First ride with the 1500 HPs

Well about an hour ago we tried our first dial in with the 1500 Hp bandit racing engines. The motors ran too well. With the 17.5 5 blade 35 pitch props the boat lifts the transom several feet out of the water which was a little scary at 125mph. The gear ratio is way off, should be 1:33 or 1:25 and not1:50. Still ran 125mph at 5000 RPMs and 100 at 4000 RPMS. This two year project is not done yet. I want to use the boat this weekend so I'm on the hunt for a set of 16X35 4 or 5 blades to try . I know that it wont be perfect till I change the ratio. Any input would be appreciated.

A gear change would be a big help with the power you have, keep us posted

1.5 ratio will not last long. Change it before it breaks. With 1200 hp torq motors one went in 22 hrs.You are on a time bomb with that amount of power anyways. 1.24 will last about 1 year with care.
good luck

Shifter, heard that the 1:5 wont last and have probably decided that I should go for the 1:24. Anyone delt with Randy at Corba for drive work?
