I like the styling, cockpit, dash and curved windshield of the Scarab but, the OL has more freeboard and forward entry for rough water. I know how the 25 OL can run in the snot with its 24* deadrise and that would be the most important factor to decide for me.The OL is the bigger boat overall.

On a side note, why do you have to make a hasty decision?
Never spent the night in the water.

See I would have thought the scarab would be better in the rough. Scarab has 23 and OL has 24 deadrise.

I'd save over the winter and revisit in the spring when I had a little more cash to look at other boats.

Of the two listed, I'd probably go with the Scarab.

You'd notice the difference riding them side by side. I like bigger Scarabs, 29' and over running the great lakes where you probably will be boating some times.
