Well the beauty of working in the oil patch is you can live where you want. I'm a captain of an offshore supply vessel. I fly to work and fly home. There are all sort if hitches(work schedule) depending on what you get into. 28-14. 14-14. 7-7. 14-7. 28-28. These are days on and days off. I currently work 28-14. Studying now to upgrade to a big boy license and the pay rate goes up enough ill work 14-14 at some point in the near future. 6 months a year off ain't bad.

My big thing is I am not willing to relocate. I am willing to go offshore for "X" amount of time but at the end of whatever travel I want to be at home Herr in Clearwater.
So in have been looking around Port of Tampa so far. Have not came across much but that's cause I know we don't have much.

Wow didn't know there that many oil/ gas field brothers here I work for a service company in the marcellus shale play here in pa. the best parts of up here is you can find companys where you get to go.home everyday. Lots of jobs down south but there's a lot of big companys leaving the.south all together and moving up here I would deffently keep that option open we can boat to our jobs though
