The Jersey Boyz Offshore Racing, P4-13 is class 4 and the #13 was my Dad's Birthday! He hated Offshore Boat Racing and everything to do with it so I used his birthday so he wouldn't be too mad when he came to watch us.

I always thought that Reggie used 76 because of the United States Bicentennial in 1976 as a patriotic thing.

That answer is very plausible, and I like it.

A good story line and reason. I was assuming many of the raceboat numbers to be birthday related to the owner-driver, or the birthday of someone the race boat owner wants to make proud-memorialize, good stuff, thank you Mr. Pensa. aka Godfather...(cool title-nickname)

My Dad went with 70 because it was his lacrosse # at the University of North Carolina. He was P-1 for most of his career though, and we all know how you get that. When he sold the boat to Nicky Cutro(Boardwalk, Pennzoil), he kept the #70 because it was good luck.

When Mark Hanna and I built our first race boat , I asked him if he liked 52 , my BMX number or 111 , cool number off of Still Crazy.... the rest is history and we make an attempt to market our selves with the number 111. When we ran two boats it just seemed right to have one as 11 and the other 111. The national championship winner is the S-1.

I like it, and I like the idea that you market it also, smart.
