My buddy is selling his 98 25 outlaw SST. Has a new HP500 carb motor, big K planes, HUGE stereo, and is totally decked out on a nice trailer. Not a nicer one in the country for less money. Does a solid 70mph with out any prop testing or tweaking and handles rough water well. Big enough to be an overnighter, but small enough to trailer around easy. Purple and white with lots of anodized purple bling.
Pm me if you want any info. I think he still has it in the classifieds or on Powerboatistings.

I know no one will beat this deal. I have a 2nd boat I bought brand new in 2012 that has 100 hours on it and is in perfect condition. I wanted a bigger boat so I went with a 42 ft 405. I have not used the smaller one in a year and a half and have it in Florida for them to sell. I will LET IT GO CHEAP!!! I just don't use it. Has never been used in salt water.

29 Powerquest would fit your needs. Easy to tow. Big boat to handle entertaining friends and big cabin to overnight. Handles rough well for its size. Stock 454 Mpi does 70. Better on gas than my silencer that had 496. Twins make getting on plane much easier. Mine is available.

I think Pantera also made a few 28 singles. Not sure if it is a 70 MPH boat though. It may be hard to find a single that will do legit 70 all the time without some type of help. My 502 MPI does 68 tops in a 27 ft Fountain. It has a step. I've seen 70 once but that was going down river, perfect conditions, lower fuel, two people and yada yada yada. I am looking for a 35 so if you have any interest I'd be happy to send you some pictures. I haven't listed it for fear of being without a boat if I don't find the right 35. That and I really wish I could keep it AND get a 35. I'd probably end up like Mseuro though and just not use it. Who knows.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I've been perfectly happy with my 271 fastech. Awesome boat with awesome amminities. Hard to find a 27' boat that has as much stuff packed into it.
Edit:mine has 502 and runs 64 on GPS. I know you said 70, but I'd give up the MPH for all the extras. Especially if you plan on overnighting on it frequently.

Twin 454 EFI Mags - all stock
Bravo 1 Drives
Best of 75.6mph GPS (77mph per LOTO Shootout radar)
Respectable cockpit space for its size.
I can sit up in the cabin, which was a requirement for me.
Dependable boat with dependable power.
Will likely list it in the spring.
