My 357 formula weighed 9500

I will never argue the hull is extremely efficient, never will.... I just felt it rode sloppy, but again I think all stepped hulls do in the sloppy water.... the Cigs with steps better but still less boat in water... of course Fountains faster though

Don was a pioneer.
Reggie was an innovator.

We can nitpick the living sh*t out of their respective influences, but both were huge influences on the sport/activity/business.

As you were.

Cigs can NOT turn anywhere near like a Fountain. Everyone just talks about the beak, true length, size, rough ride, etc... Blah blah blah. 10 year old Fountains are still running well on the race course. Where are all the OL and Cigs on the race course?!

Oh no !!! Hope that there is not too many facts presented, will be the end of close to half the content of OSO !! LOL.....

Looking forward to seeing the final production, clips thus far have been great.

Good topic for my 1000th post, since I own a contraversial model Fountain.

Here he is with Carl Kiekhaefer, founder of Mercury Marine. Two dynamic forces that complimented each other.
FYI these guys are expected to be a big part of Reggie's story, which without them, he wouldn't have been able to do what he did.

And by the way, "King of Offshore" is a movie title...not a fact. Titles, just like headlines, are meant to pique your interest

Exactly. No different than arguing over Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
