Do these require a drive shower for my bravo, maybe a XR top cap?
Beautiful pieces of engineering btw.

No just a tractor trailer full of drives is all that's needed.

You need to have the second OL with a pair.

Well I just wanted to start a little discussion on motors that would be alternatives to Merc and turbines.

A 1800 hp engine is a special animal, I have 2 roads I am looking at to achieve that. The big monster motor like these or go to a more commercially available platform (not a billet block). Supercharging vs. Turbocharging is an issue. Custom exhaust manifolding for the turbos is not cheap. Turbo is free HP, whereas parasitic losses with running big blowers builds.

Interview with Todd Goodwin, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...Jnb29kd2luIl0=.

Super cool and interesting guy—with a serious resume.

While everyone wants something better, others are just as satisfied to see what new things come out and vicariously watch the events as they unfold on the internet as its their momentary release from the wife complaining and the children crying; it never ceases to amaze me how many people on the internet are nay sayer's, experts, or flag waivers for mercury. What is most idiomatic about the negativity and wannabe experts is that they themselves have ZERO ability nor the means to purchase this latest marvel but they certainly come in groves to kick the guys who can in the shins and taunt with their new found Wikipedia knowledge that they've read on the same internet which they post such unrealistic paraphrasal comments. I cannot build anything more than a wet paper bag but I say congrat's to Pyburn for having the balls, vision and desire to do this as it's going to be a bad ass boat when completed.
