As that one is winding down...........

Which famous offshore writer went to Annapolis as a Navy cadet?

He won the famous Miami to Nassau race, but his main business was vacuum cleaners, name and year race was won.

They were tied for first place and racing far from their own countries, so when one of them had engine problems and couldn't compete, the other one went out and rented him a race boat so he could race. Two names and the race they were in.

When Magnum needed a new deck for a new race boat they built Billy Martin, they called a competitor and asked them to make one for him, they did and two different boats had the same deck in that race. Name of other boat company.

He wanted to go offshore racing, but everyone except Aronow, told him he was too old. With a new Aronow boat he won his first race. Driver's name.and age when he started.

Oldest driver to build himself a new race boat for his 75th birthday.

That guy was Sandy Satullo who first wanted to race at age 50. Today he would be considered a kid with some of the crews racing here and Europe.
