Any castings can and will have issues eventually I would think, especially ones of the size of exhaust manifolds.
What is the weight difference between the two? I would think the big heavy castings would take a beating in race conditions.

Our experience has taught us that any water related failure or restriction places the cast header at a critical heat level that can erode and or compromise it's integrity (as it would on ANY cast header system.)

The #1 objective for us is to up our game and continue to field a winning boat # 2 pass along some of our knowledge to the people that are interested in the next level equipment on their rig.

The OEM is in not involved with MGRT/CMI efforts on the development of this product.

My bad. I'd blame the jet lag (15 hours from Qatar yesterday) but I have messed that one up more times than I can recall.

Carry on.
Don't even sweat it, no worries.

Boost... our engine team takes input from many different technologies and teams. from drag racing, gt racing and even AMG via Renntech ... if you don't open your mind to the brilliant minds outside of our industry you can't evolve. Whats to come from us in the future will be truly staggering.

If you are sponsored by merc to showcase the motor, are you constrained/limited to what you can do with it??

You're assuming they are only making 1650 currently.

Agreed - pretty sure Reggie wasn't involved in badging Merc Racing products!
